Objective: To supplement and expand knowledge of geometry necessary for the study and understanding of the tools and methods of computer graphics.
Course syllabus:
- Euclidean spaces: Half-spaces, linear combinations of points.
- Curves: Methods of representation, tangent, Frenet frame, curve length, natural parametrisation, curvature, contact of curves.
- Surfaces: Methods of representation, curve on a surface, tangent plane, first and second fundamental forms of a surface, classification of points on a surface, normal curvature.
